Chicken Tikka: The hot BBQ

Chicken tikka is famous and most loved BBQ dish from subcontinent and no barbeque night or platter is complete without it. It is believed that this dish originated from the kitchens of the Mughal Empire. Chicken tikka is usually made by marinating boneless chicken pieces and baked on wooden or metal skewers over brazier also known as angeethi.

Today we took three best recipes of chicken Tikka. The most watched recipe is by DINDIGUL FOOD COURT. DINDIGUL FOOD COURT used different spices and firstly he marinated chicken for 30 minutes and then fry on oil. After frying on oil, make a gravy and add fried boneless chicken in it and add yogurt in it, which enhances the taste of chicken tikka masala with gravy.

The second most watched recipe is by FOODSENTER CHICKEN TIKKA the spices are same but method is differ because he did not fried chicken in oil. He directly put chicken in the gravy and roasted. As compared to this the VIJAYA SEKVERAJU CHICKEN TIKKA also used the same spices but method is slightly different. In the same pan, add butter and Onions, and cook until soft and translucent. Add spices and Fry until fragrant (15-20 seconds). Add other ingredients and Simmer for 15-20 minutes on low heat, stirring occasionally until Tomato Sauce thickens, and takes on a deep reddish brown colour. Add Chicken and Heavy Cream, and cook for an additional 10 minutes until mixture is bubbling, glossy, and thick. Garnish with fresh Coriander and serve with hot Basmati Rice, and/or Naan/Rotis.
