In Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan, there is a museum called the Mohatta Palace. In practically every area of this majestic structure, Mohatta Palace is a complex structure with fine detailing. They take the shape of carvings. In the big windows that are located in the upper right and left corners of the arches, the delicate decorations depict bird's wings.
The Mohatta Palace is a museum located in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan. Designed by Agha Ahmed Hussain, the palace was built in 1927 in the posh seaside locale of Clifton as the summer home of Shivratan Mohatta, a Hindu Marwari businessman from what is now the modern-day Indian state of Rajasthan. Later purchased by Sindh Government to serve as museum. Mohatta Palace is an elaborate building with intricate details which are present in almost every portion of this magnificent building. These are in the form of carvings. The delicate designs include bird’s wings in the large windows, situated in the top right and left corners of the arches.
There are also peacock motifs in the stonework and they are found around each of the nine domes. Also, there has been a lot of use of the scallop shape in upwards and downward positions around the lower areas, in the form of a strip going around the building and on top of the first and second-floor windows that protrude outwards. There are also many floral motifs around the surrounding wall, between each scallop, such as marigolds. Hibiscus flowers to be found lightly carved between rectangular shapes underneath all the windows, which are on the sides of the doorways. Similarly, each window and doorway is framed by two large, intricately carved marigolds at the top right and left side of the arches.
Moreover, the balustrade terrace, rooftop and octagonal towers have dainty knobs and a rectangular box-like shape chiseled into each baluster. Furthermore, there are decorative brackets underneath each window, projecting ‘chhajja’, entrance ways, domes, all around the building which makes it look more delicate to one's eye. Also, each of the columns around the building has motifs and flowers engraved horizontally between spaces. These go all around the building in a horizontal line.
Similarly, the five domes of the barsati have lines etched into them, giving them more form and texture, unlike the octagonal towers which are just plain except for the peacock carving which is present in all of the domes. Mohatta Palace is a very famous and lovable attraction spot of Karachi. Many people from all over the world come to visit the palace for its beauty and attractive colors. In the crowd of modern fascinating buildings, Mohatta Palace is known to have its own identity.
The museum holds many important paintings, sculptures, artifacts and more is kept at the museum for well known artist while some are donated by the family to the museum. Families educational trip and school trip is regular at the museum.

مزید برآں، عمارت کے چاروں طرف ہر کھڑکی کے نیچے آرائشی خطوط وحدانی موجود ہیں، جن پر ’چھجا‘، داخلی راستے، گنبد، سب کچھ نظر آتا ہے ۔ اس کے علاوہ، عمارت کے ارد گرد ہر کالم میں نقش اور پھول خالی جگہوں کے درمیان افقی طور پر کندہ ہیں۔ یہ عمارت کے چاروں طرف افقی لکیر میں گھومتے ہیں۔
اسی طرح، بارساتی کے پانچ گنبدوں میں لکیریں کھنچی ہوئی ہیں، جس سے انہیں زیادہ شکل اور ساخت ملتی ہے، اس کے برعکس آکٹونل ٹاورز جو بالکل سادہ ہیں سوائے مور کے نقش و نگار کے جو تمام گنبدوں میں موجود ہے۔

میوزیم میں بہت سی اہم پینٹنگز، مجسمے، فن پارے اور بہت کچھ معروف فنکار کے لیے میوزیم میں رکھا گیا ہے جبکہ کچھ خاندان کی جانب سے میوزیم کو عطیہ کیے گئے ہیں۔ عجائب گھر میں خاندانوں کا تعلیمی سفر اور اسکول کا سفر باقاعدگی سے ہوتا ہے۔
