The lake is located in Phander Valley also known as Pakistan’s “Mini-Switzerland”. The Lake's snow-capped peaks and nice weather offer mesmerising beauty. However, the area is only accessible during the summer months of June, July, and August.
Phander Lake is situated in the Phander Village, in Koh-i-Ghizer, Gupis-Yasin District, the westernmost part of the Gilgit–Baltistan region and northernmost territory of Pakistan. This lake is an important source of fresh water.
The lake is located in Phander Valley also known as Pakistan’s “mini-Switzerland”. The Lake provides mesmerising beauty with snow capped peaks and pleasant weather. There is also PTDC (Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation) hotel located at a hill that gives beautiful view of phander lake below, lastly the hospitality of Ismaili people. However the area can only be visited during peak summer June/July/ August.
Phander Valley is situated 61 kilometers (38 miles) from the valley of Gupis, in District Ghizer of Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. A twisting road passing through lush green fields and forests with a view of the flowing river and icy peaks will lead you to this charming valley. From springs of crystal clear waters to lakes and rivers of deep blue water, there are all colors of nature’s beauty in Phandar Valley. The very first glance of this valley will eliminate all fatigue of journey and will energize you with its mesmerizing views. Peaceful deep blue waters of River Ghizer and surrounding lush green and golden fields are breathtaking.
Weather of Phander valley stays very pleasant between June and July and this is the best time to visit this valley because the beauty of this valley goes at its peak during these months. Days stay fair and warm and nights are a little cold. It is a good and safe family friendly spot with different accommodations available near the lake or at few meters distance.
Both demographics can enjoy staying here with plenty of exploring, eatery, motorbike adventure and fishing activities. Getting to Phander Lake can be a long drive of 4 to 6 hours depending on the weather, it is also considered one of the most beautiful drive with stunning landscapes and vast green fields. There are restaurants available a bit further away from the lake that are famous for trout fish (found in phander lake) dishes.
پھنڈر جھیل
پھنڈر جھیل، کوہ غذر، گوپس یاسین ضلع میں، پھنڈر گاؤں میں واقع ہے، جو گلگت بلتستان کے علاقے کا سب سے مغربی حصہ اور پاکستان کا شمالی علاقہ ہے۔ یہ جھیل میٹھے پانی کا ایک اہم ذریعہ ہے۔
یہ جھیل وادی پھنڈر میں واقع ہے جسے پاکستان کا "منی سوئٹزرلینڈ" بھی کہا جاتا ہے۔ جھیل برف پوش چوٹیوں اور خوشگوار موسم کے ساتھ دلکش خوبصورتی فراہم کرتی ہے۔ ایک پہاڑی پر پی ٹی ڈی سی (پاکستان ٹورازم ڈویلپمنٹ کارپوریشن) کا ہوٹل بھی ہے جو نیچے پھنڈر جھیل کا خوبصورت منظر پیش کرتا ہے، آخر میں اسماعیلی لوگوں کی مہمان نوازی بھی کرتا ہے۔ تاہم اس علاقے کا دورہ صرف موسم گرما میں جون/جولائی/اگست کے دوران کیا جا سکتا ہے۔
وادی پھنڈر پاکستان کے گلگت بلتستان کے ضلع غذر میں وادی گوپس سے 61 کلومیٹر (38 میل) کے فاصلے پر واقع ہے۔ بہتے ہوئے دریا اور برفیلی چوٹیوں کے نظارے کے ساتھ سرسبز و شاداب کھیتوں اور جنگلات سے گزرتی ہوئی ایک موڑتی ہوئی سڑک آپ کو اس دلکش وادی کی طرف لے جائے گی۔ کرسٹل صاف پانی کے چشموں سے لے کر جھیلوں اور گہرے نیلے پانی کی ندیوں تک، وادی پھنڈر میں قدرت کے حسن کے تمام رنگ موجود ہیں۔ اس وادی کی پہلی ہی نظر سفر کی تمام تھکاوٹ کو دور کردے گی ۔ دریائے غذر کا پرامن گہرا نیلا پانی اور اس کے آس پاس کے سرسبز و شاداب اور سنہری کھیت دلکش ہیں۔
جون اور جولائی کے درمیان وادی پھنڈر کا موسم بہت خوشگوار رہتا ہے اور یہ اس وادی کا دورہ کرنے کا بہترین وقت ہے کیونکہ ان مہینوں میں اس وادی کی خوبصورتی اپنے عروج پر پہنچ جاتی ہے۔ دن اچھے اور گرم رہتے ہیں اور راتیں تھوڑی ٹھنڈی ہوتی ہیں۔
یہ ایک اچھا اور محفوظ مقام ہے جہاں مختلف رہائشیں جھیل کے قریب یا چند میٹر کے فاصلے پر دستیاب ہیں۔
دونوں آبادی والے یہاں بہت سی تلاش، کھانے پینے، موٹر سائیکل ایڈونچر اور ماہی گیری کی سرگرمیوں کے ساتھ رہنے کا لطف اٹھا سکتے ہیں۔
پھنڈر جھیل تک پہنچنے کے لیے موسم کے لحاظ سے 4 سے 6 گھنٹے کی طویل ڈرائیو ہوسکتی ہے، جھیل سے تھوڑی دور ریستوراں دستیاب ہیں جو ٹراؤٹ مچھلی (فنڈر جھیل میں پائی جانے والی) پکوانوں کے لیے مشہور ہیں۔
