Hanna Lake is a lake in the Baluchistan Province of southwest Pakistan, close to Quetta. There are hills all around it. One of Baluchistan's most popular and easily accessible lakes is Hanna Lake. Families can enjoy the cuisine and weather at a lakeside restaurant with picnic tables that are shaded by pine trees near the river's end.
Hanna Lake is in the hills close to where the Urak Valley begins, 17 kilometers (11 mi) east from Quetta city. The reservoir was constructed in 1894 during the British Colonial era on the land of local tribesmen, and is one of the main attractions in the city. It forms a great historical bridge wall between two mountains, the depths like battlements of a fort, for the storing of water.
Hanna Lake is a lake in Urak Valley near Quetta city in Baluchistan Province, in southwestern Pakistan. It is surrounded by mountains. Hanna Lake is one of the most visited and accessible lakes in Baluchistan. There is a lakeside restaurant with picnic tables shaded by pine trees at the end of the river, where families can enjoy the food and weather.
On the eastern side of the lake stands the Hayat Durrani Water Sports Academy (HDWSA), the first and only rowing, canoeing, kayaking and sailing training and championships organizing center in Baluchistan Province, with provision of rough swimming facility. On 22 July 1986, Haji Khair Muhammad Khan Kakar Son of Sarfaraz Khan Kakar gifted 2 Acre (8093.71 square meter) of land on the North West edge of Hanna Lake to Hayatullah Khan Durrani known for caving and Mountaineering Adventure sports in Baluchistan. Hayatullah Khan Durrani established Hayat Durrani Water Sports Academy (HDWSA) on the eve of 14 August 1986 Pakistan Independence-Day the Baluchistan’s first and only Rowing, Canoeing, Kayaking, Sailing, rough swimming and boating academy where all such facilities regarding Rowing, Canoeing, Kayaking, Sailing, rough swimming training, events equipment's and boating provides voluntary free of cost to the youth members at Hanna Lake. This channel nowadays needs repairs and is wasting water and recently the Hanna Lake has been fully dried since August 2016 causing killing of thousands of fish and the future of the canoe Kayak and rowing National and International level is turning in to dark now.
There is also a water channel which was constructed at the same time by the British to convert the snow and rain water near Spin Kaarez, coming from Murdar Mount, as surplus for filling the water in this lake. The channel was destroyed by a heavy flood in 1976 and has still not been re-constructed. The loss of the snow and rain water was wasted causing Hanna Lake to fully dry up between 1999 and January 2005. The government of Baluchistan did nothing for the restoration of water level at Hanna lake on the other-hand the HDWSA officials and some officials of Hanna Lake Development Authority (HLDA) the custodians of Hanna Lake had full efforts for the restoration of water through the surplus canal to main Hanna Lake.
The lake, however, refilled in 2011 and once again provided habitat for vegetation and fauna. The lake's turquoise waters contrast well with the sandy brown hills in the background. Promenade on the terraces or rent a boat to paddle around the island in the middle of the lake.

ہنا جھیل پاکستان کے جنوب مغربی صوبہ بلوچستان میں کوئٹہ شہر کے قریب وادی اورک میں واقع ایک جھیل ہے۔ یہ پہاڑوں سے گھرا ہوا ہے۔ ہنہ جھیل بلوچستان کی سب سے زیادہ دیکھی جانے والی جھیلوں میں سے ایک ہے۔ جھیل کے کنارے ایک ریستوراں ہے جس میں دریا کے آخر میں دیودار کے درختوں کے سایہ دار پکنک ٹیبل ہیں، جہاں خاندان کھانے اور موسم سے لطف اندوز ہو سکتے ہیں۔ مشرقی کنارے پر حیات درانی واٹر اسپورٹس جو صوبہ بلوچستان کا پہلا اور واحد روئنگ، کینوئنگ، کیکنگ اور سیلنگ ٹریننگ اور چیمپئن شپ آرگنائزنگ سینٹر ہے، جس میں تیراکی کی سہولت فراہم کی گئی ہے۔ 22 جولائی 1986 کو، حاجی خیر محمد خان کاکڑ ولد سرفراز خان کاکڑ نے حنا جھیل کے شمال مغربی کنارے پر 2 ایکڑ (8093.71 مربع میٹر) زمین حیات اللہ خان درانی کو تحفے میں دی جو بلوچستان میں غار اور کوہ پیمائی کے ایڈونچر کھیلوں کے لیے مشہور ہیں۔ حیات اللہ خان درانی نے 14 اگست 1986 کو پاکستان کے یوم آزادی کے موقع پر حیات درانی واٹر اسپورٹس اکیڈمی قائم کی جو بلوچستان کی پہلی اور واحد روئنگ، کینوئنگ، کیکنگ، سیلنگ، رف سوئمنگ اور بوٹنگ اکیڈمی ہے جہاں روئنگ، کینوئنگ، وغیرہ سے متعلق تمام سہولیات موجود ہیں۔ حنا جھیل میں نوجوانوں کے لیے ، تیراکی کی تیز رفتار تربیت، تقریبات کا سامان اور کشتی رانی رضاکارانہ طور پر مفت فراہم کی جاتی ہے۔ اس چینل کو آج کل مرمت کی ضرورت ہے اور پانی ضائع ہو رہا ہے اور حال ہی میں ہانا جھیل اگست 2016 سے مکمل طور پر خشک ہو چکی ہے جس کی وجہ سے ہزاروں مچھلیاں ہلاک ہو چکی ہیں اور کینو کائیک اور روئنگ کا مستقبل قومی اور بین الاقوامی سطح پر اب تاریک ہو رہا ہے۔ یہاں ایک واٹر چینل بھی ہے جو کہ اسی وقت انگریزوں نے اس جھیل میں پانی بھرنے کے لیے اضافی طور پر مردار پہاڑ سے آنے والے اسپن کاریز کے قریب برف اور بارش کے پانی کو تبدیل کرنے کے لیے بنایا تھا۔ یہ چینل 1976 میں شدید سیلاب سے تباہ ہو گیا تھا اور ابھی تک اسے دوبارہ تعمیر نہیں کیا جا سکا ہے۔ برف باری اور بارش کا پانی ضائع ہونے سے 1999 سے جنوری 2005 کے درمیان حنا جھیل مکمل طور پر خشک ہو گئی تھی ۔ یہ جھیل 2011 میں دوبارہ بھری گئی اور ایک بار پھر پودوں اور حیوانات کے لیے رہائش فراہم کرتی ہے۔ جھیل کا فیروزی پانی پس منظر میں ریتیلی بھوری پہاڑیوں سے اچھی طرح متصادم ہے۔ جھیل کے وسط میں واقع جزیرے کے ارد گرد جا نے کے لیے ایک کشتی کرایہ پر لی جا سکتی ہے۔
