These both are famous mountain peaks in Concordia range. Rakaposhi is a mountain in the Karakoram mountain range in the Gilgit-Baltistan territory of Pakistan. Its front side is situated in the Bagrote valley, Nagar valley and danyor, approximately 100 km north of the city of Gilgit. Rakaposhi is also known as Dumani. It is ranked 27th highest in the world. The Rakaposhi peak dominates the horizon and is constantly visible from the Karakoram Highway. Nanga Parbat, translates ‘naked-mountain’, also known locally as Diamer, is the ninth-highest mountain in the world at 8,126 meters above sea level. Located in the Diamer District of Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan, Nanga Parbat is the western anchor of the Himalayas.

While both mountains are famous for their sight, surrounding weather and valley they reside in, with interesting trekking range, both mountains cannot be summited due to extreme weather condition even during summer days. Rakaposhi, is one of the most magnificent peak found in the world today. It is situated near the town of Gilgit and with a height of 7,788m/25,551ft it is easily climbable from all sides. The peak dominates the horizon and is constantly visible from the Karakoram Highway. It looks so beautiful that at first glance inspires charm and lures an onlooker to be in its abode. Accessing the peak is quite easy, which only adds to its attraction. The peak is surrounded by famous glaciers/valleys like Barpu, Biro, Bagrot and Pisan. In 1892, a large expedition of W.M. Conway, a British traveler and mountaineer explored the Barpu valley. The party also explored the nearby Bagrot valley. In order to visit the valley, Conway had to travel from Srinagar to Gilgit over Burzil pass. In those days this was the only identified and permissible route to enter the area.

راکاپوشی پاکستان کے گلگت بلتستان کے علاقے میں قراقرم کے پہاڑی سلسلے کا ایک پہاڑ ہے۔ یہ دونوں کنکورڈیا سلسلے کی مشہور پہاڑی چوٹیوں میں واقع ہے۔ اس کا اگلا حصہ وادی بگروٹ، وادی نگر اور دنیور میں واقع ہے، جو گلگت شہر سے تقریباً 100 کلومیٹر شمال میں واقع ہے۔ راکاپوشی کو ڈومانی کے نام سے بھی جانا جاتا ہے۔ یہ دنیا میں 27 ویں نمبر پر ہے۔ راکاپوشی چوٹی افق پر حاوی ہے اور قراقرم ہائی وے سے مسلسل نظر آتی ہے۔ نانگا پربت، 'ننگے پہاڑ' کا ترجمہ کرتا ہے، جسے مقامی طور پر دیامر بھی کہا جاتا ہے، سطح سمندر سے 8,126 میٹر بلندی پر دنیا کا نواں سب سے اونچا پہاڑ ہے۔ پاکستان کے گلگت بلتستان کے ضلع دیامر میں واقع نانگا پربت ہمالیہ کا مغربی لنگر ہے۔

اگرچہ دونوں پہاڑ اپنے نظاروں کے لیے مشہور ہیں، ارد گرد کے موسم اور وہ وادی جس میں وہ رہتے ہیں، دلچسپ ٹریکنگ رینج کے ساتھ، موسم گرما کے دنوں میں بھی انتہائی موسم کی وجہ سے دونوں پہاڑوں کو سر نہیں کیا جا سکتا ۔ یہ گلگت شہر کے قریب واقع ہے اور 7,788m/25,551ftاونچائی کے ساتھ ہر طرف سے آسانی سے چڑھنے کے قابل ہے۔ چوٹی افق پر حاوی ہے اور قراقرم ہائی وے سے مسلسل نظر آتی ہے۔ یہ اتنا خوبصورت لگتا ہے کہ پہلی نظر میں ہی دلکشی کو متاثر کرتی ہے ۔چوٹی تک رسائی کافی آسان ہے، ۔ چوٹی مشہور گلیشیرز/وادیوں جیسے بارپو، بیرو، بگروٹ اور پسان سے گھری ہوئی ہے۔ 1892 کی ایک بڑی مہم ہے۔ کانوے، ایک برطانوی سیاح اور کوہ پیما نے بارپو وادی کی سیر کی۔ پارٹی نے قریبی بگروٹ وادی کا بھی جائزہ لیا۔ وادی کا دورہ کرنے کے لیے، کانوے کو سری نگر سے گلگت تک برزیل پاس سے گزرنا پڑتا تھا۔ ان دنوں علاقے میں داخل ہونے کے لیے یہ واحد شناخت شدہ اور جائز راستہ تھا۔
