Ingredients
- Beef meat: 1 kg
- Lentil (Chaney): 2 cups
- Onions: 2 medium-sized, chopped
- Ginger-garlic paste: 4 tbsp
- Black pepper: 1 tbsp
- Cinnamon sticks: 3
- Mace (javitri): 1 small piece
- Dry chilies: 6
- Cloves: 8
- Green cardamom: 5
- Black cardamom: 3
- Bay leaves: 3
- Cumin powder: 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder: 1 tsp
- Salt: to taste
- Water: 3 cups
- Red chilies: 4, chopped
- Green coriander: 3-4 tbsp, chopped
- Mint: 3-4 tbsp, chopped
- Eggs: 2
Cooking Method
- Soak the lentils in a bowl of water for two hours.
- In a pressure cooker, add the beef, soaked lentils, chopped onions, ginger-garlic paste, black pepper, cinnamon sticks, mace, dry chilies, cloves, green cardamom, black cardamom, bay leaves, cumin powder, turmeric powder, salt, and 3 cups of water. Mix well.
- Cook on a low flame for 30 minutes until the meat is tender.
- After 30 minutes, fry the meat mixture until all the water evaporates, then let it cool.
- Using a food processor or smasher, blend the mixture until smooth.
- Add the chopped red chilies, green coriander, mint, and eggs to the blended mixture. Mix well.
- Shape the mixture into kababs and freeze them for 20 minutes.
- Heat oil in a frying pan and fry the kababs until golden brown.
- Serve hot with ketchup or chutney.
