Ingredients:

  • Minced meat: 500 g
  • Potatoes: 2 large
  • Dry red chilies: 6-7
  • Green chilies: 5
  • Fresh coriander: a handful
  • Onions: 2 medium-sized
  • Tomato: 1 large
  • Curd (yogurt): 3 tbsp
  • Ginger garlic paste: 2 tsp
  • Pepper: ½ tsp
  • Turmeric: ½ tsp
  • Salt: ½ tsp
  • Coriander powder: 1½ tsp
  • Garam masala: 1 tsp
  • Cumin: 1 tsp
  • Black cardamom: 2
  • Cinnamon pieces: 2

Method:

  • Heat oil in a pan, add dry red chilies, and fry on low flame until roasted. Remove from skillet.
  • Add black cardamom to the oil, followed by chopped onions. Fry until onions turn light brown.
  • Add ginger garlic paste and sauté for one minute on medium flame.
  • Add minced meat and fry on high flame for 2-3 minutes until the color changes to brown.
  • Stir in turmeric powder, red chili, yogurt, and tomatoes. Sauté well.
  • Continue roasting the minced meat until the water from the meat completely evaporates.
  • Add one glass of water and simmer on low flame for 40-45 minutes.
  • Add potatoes, mix well, and add another glass of water. Cook on low flame for 15-20 minutes until the potatoes and meat are well cooked.
  • Add green chilies and sprinkle fresh coriander.
  • Turn off the flame and serve hot with roti.
