Ingredients
- Mutton: 5 kg
- Ginger garlic paste: 3 tablespoons
- Onion: 0.5 kg, chopped
- Turmeric powder: 1 tablespoon
- Salt: 1 tablespoon or to taste
- Cumin powder: 0.5 teaspoon
- Coriander powder: 1 teaspoon
- Green chillies: 7-8
- Yogurt: 1 cup
- Almonds: 7-8, ground into a paste
- Garam masala: 1 teaspoon
- Fresh coriander: for garnish
Method
- Preparation:
- In a clay pot (matka), add water and bring to a boil.
- Add the mutton, ginger garlic paste, chopped onions, turmeric powder, salt, cumin powder, and coriander powder.
- Cook on medium flame for one hour, stirring occasionally.
- Cooking:
- After one hour, add yogurt and almond paste to the pot.
- Continue cooking on medium flame for another 15-20 minutes until the mutton is tender and the flavors are well combined.
- Add garam masala and mix well. Cook for an additional 5 minutes.
- Garnishing:
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and green chillies.
- Serve hot with naan or roti.
